As of 2012, the conifer collection will easily surpass 2000 different species, hybrids and cultivars. This collection will be the largest in the world on display for the public. Many specimens in the collection are the only ones in the country. The Conifer Garden has approximately 1100 specimens but conifers are found in nearly every garden.

Our collection contains an extremely rare Chinese Silver Leafed Cathaya (Cathaya argophylla), one of the 2 known plants in Canada.
